2.www.coolspot.gov : This website addresses alcohol abuse and peer pressure. It contains facts, Q & A, quizzes. The website addresses peer pressure really well and is very interactive.
3.www.sadd.org : This site is the official Students Against Destructive Decisions site. It contains stats, pledges that declare abstinence from substance use that can be printed out, and how to become involved in your school and community to promote good decision making.
4.www.checkyourself.com : “A place for teens to check out where they are with drugs and alcohol”. This is an excellent site which includes prevention videos aimed at teens, quizzes, and drug info. It also has a great section called “Moments of Truth”. There are stories written by teens and a how to get help section. This site is very user friendly and interactive.
5.www.justthinktwice.com : This site is a DEA site directed towards “Street Smart Prevention”. It contains facts on drugs and on costs to society. There is a great “It can happen to me” section and a “Teens ask Teens” section.
6.www.abovetheinfluence.com : Very interactive site which includes facts, educational ads and psa’s. Teens can send each other prevention e-cards. There’s a broad section of videos, podcasts, and fun downloads. There is also a great “How to help a Friend” section.
8.www.thetruth.com: This website addresses tobacco and cigarette use specifically. It has great videos and games and breaks down myths regarding nicotine use and the tobacco industry. The site is dedicated to tobacco use prevention.
9.www.dare.org : The DARE organization has a special site for kids. The site is very interactive but is aimed more at children rather than adolescents.
