Arthur Jackson Midnight Basketball of Florida

“More Than Just a Game.”

The Center’s Arthur Jackson Midnight Basketball of Florida prevention program provides youth with positive, alternative late night activities on Friday and Saturday nights while educating these youth on important life skills lessons necessary to avoid future delinquent behavior. The goals of the program are to strengthen relationships between law enforcement and local youth, improve self-esteem, and enhance interpersonal and developmental skills through the use of mentors. The Midnight Basketball Program has grown to serve thousands of children and their families in Central Florida. The program also offers seasonal tournaments, a boys and girls high school summer league, basketball camps sponsored by Darrell Armstrong, a high school summer girls volleyball tournament, a Summer Pro-Am League tournament sanctioned by the NCAA & NBA, FHSAA sanctioned Midnight Basketball Invitational, and a college scholarship program.
