The Addictions Receiving Facility (ARF) provides detoxification from alcohol and drugs in a safe and supportive environment. Our medical director who is a nationally recognized addictions specialist supervises the detoxification process.

Each individual receives a history and physical by the licensed medical staff. Medication is provided to ensure a comfortable withdrawal from drugs and alcohol. There are 24-hour nursing services by our qualified medical team. Each individual is evaluated for a possible mental health referral during their stay.

Each individual receives a clinical assessment by one of our Masters level/licensed counselors. A relapse prevention plan is developed from the psychosocial assessment and a referral for future services is completed on every admission.

Accessing Services:
Screening is provided daily from 7am until 8pm at the ARF. Admissions are completed on those who are in need of medical detoxification in an inpatient setting. Those who would benefit from outpatient detoxification are referred to the outpatient program located at 100 W. Columbia St.

Fees:
All individuals seeking services receive a financial screening. Services may be funded by private insurance or accepted on a self-pay sliding fee scale.

Specialized Services:
The ARF provides assessments for individuals admitted under the Marchman Act (This is an involuntary process that may involve the courts, law enforcement or a physician. For additional information see Marchman Act.

Opiate Detoxification:
The ARF uses both suboxone and methadone to assist in managing opiate withdrawal symptoms. These medications enable us to provide a detoxification from opiates in a non-hospital setting that minimizes withdrawal symptoms from highly addictive opiates. These medications in conjunction with the other supportive services provided greatly increase the retention of clients in this population.

Bilingual Services:
The staff at the ARF provides services to those speaking Spanish in their native language. This includes both individual and group services. Specialized residential services may also be available to those speaking Spanish.

All services are confidential. We believe that detoxification is a first step towards recovery. Recovery is an ongoing process and the ARF provides hope that change is possible and with additional services the individual’s physical, emotional, spiritual and family life will heal from the damage of their addiction.
